Professor Danny Liew was previously the Dean and Head of the Adelaide Medical School, University of Adelaide, South Australia for three years until December 2024. He was  also a consultant physician in General Medicine at the Central Adelaide Local Health Network.

From 2016 to 2021, he was the Chair of Clinical Outcomes Research and Deputy Head of School (Education and Enterprise) at the Monash University School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, and a consultant physician at the Alfred Hospital. From 2010 to 2015, he was the Chair of Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Melbourne and Head of Medical Unit 1 at the Royal Melbourne Hospital

Danny’s research interests lie in clinical epidemiology, health services research and health economics. He is also passionate about teaching and training, both in clinical medicine and applied research methods.
