Arya commenced work as a Researcher for GENI during May 2024. He is a biomedical engineer, currently working as Global Experience and Partnerships Officer with RMIT University. Arya has also completed an intensive short course in Health Care Economics from Harvard Business School to pave his path into health economics and public health policy.

Arya has been involved in an extensive number of projects in biomedical engineering and design and has strived to address societal and public health challenges through his innovations. In 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Arya and his team designed a next-gen respirator and won the US$10K People’s Choice Award for the Next-Gen Mask Challenge hosted by XPRIZE.

Arya’s interest in health economics is driven by his long-standing commitment to public health. Arya is particularly interested in benefit design, payment reforms and in exploring the scope of behavioral science and economics for public health reforms and interventions.
